Upcoming Events:

Conference Week (March 20-24)
Students will be released at 12:25 all week.

Please remember notes if your child will have any changes in his/her transportation that week.

Field Trip (March 31)
Weinman Mineral Museum
Please have your child wear their class shirts to school that day. Also, due to the size of the museum, they are asking us to only bring two chaperones per class. If you would like to join us please send a note in letting know by 3/17. If more than two people respond, I will pick names out of a hat :o)

Unit Focus:
Spelling: Spelling Unit 18
The current word preview will come home with your child on Monday. Spelling test will be Friday. Please help your child study his/her words nightly.
Math: Our current math unit is Geometry. We also continue to work on strategies to solve word problems. Ask your child about their math journals.
Reading: Please have your child bring in a book (any book on their level) that they wish to read for our reading workshop time. This book will need to travel back and forth from school and home daily. We will use this book during class time and students will be responsible for reading at least 20 minutes at home each night. Please spend some time each night asking questions about the current book your child is reading. The who, what, where, and how questions will help your child retell the story and help him/her with comprehension. Great preparation for the CRCT (only 5 weeks away).
Health: We are just finishing up our mini dental health unit. The unit test will be this Monday.

Secret Mission
Pictures need to be taken by Friday, March 10th, developed by Monday, March 13th and returned to school by Wednesday March 15th
